Supporting local families with their household budget pressures, like cutting the fuel excise in half, saving you 22 cents per litre for six months. We’re also making a one-off $250 payment to 9,075 local pensioners and carers and increasing their regular payments as well as making childcare affordable for local families.
Our plan lowers taxes for families and small business and invests in skills, infrastructure and manufacturing. Around 77,200 local low and middle income earners will receive up to $1,500 in further tax relief this year, including a one-off $420 Cost of Living tax offset. Our tax incentives will help around 26,600 local businesses to write-off the full value of any eligible asset they purchase.
We’re investing in fixing local roads to save lives and reduce travel times. The LNP Government is building a modern public transport system, pedestrian and bike paths, including $450m for the Brisbane Metro, $150m for the new Woolloongabba Station and investing in the Kangaroo Point Green Bridge for better pedestrian and bike access to the CBD.
Investing in better services and a stronger Medicare by delivering more than 551,000 Telehealth consultations since 2020. The LNP is funding more than 1.4 million free or subsidised medicines locally each year and reducing the maximum cost of PBS medications by $10 per script. The LNP is also investing record funding in aged care to help the 15,041 seniors living here. Funding for public schools will increase by over 30% to 2029.
The LNP is investing in our local communities with better facilities, public spaces and a healthy environment that families can enjoy now and into the future. We’re taking practical action to address aircraft noise. The LNP is committed to Net Zero emissions by 2050 and our policies have supported the installation of 15,500 rooftop solar panels locally.
