We’re also making a one-off payment of $250 for over 21,299 local pensioners and carers and increasing their regular payments. Investing in more local doctors and nurses by clearing their education debt when they practice and live locally. We’re delivering around 320,000 local Medicare telehealth consultations and more than 2 million free or subsidised medicines. We are investing record funding in aged care to help the 27,000 seniors living locally and making childcare more affordable.

I’m proud that we’re investing in our local communities, with better facilities and public spaces and a healthy local environment that families can enjoy now and into the future, like more funding for local men’s sheds and $2.2 million for the Atherton Community Centre. And we’re providing an extra $1 billion to protect the Great Barrier Reef and our local tourism industry.
